Family Firearm Safety Class

This program is intended for families, caregivers, and individuals seeking to enhance safety awareness and create a secure home environment. It is designed to promote safe, responsible, and informed practices for households where firearms may be present. It will provide foundational knowledge and practical guidance to help prevent accidents and create a culture of safety. 

Part 1: Foundations of Firearm Safety

The first part of the course introduces essential firearm safety principles and basic awareness. Participants will learn the core safety rules that guide responsible handling, develop an understanding of different types of firearms, and build habits that reduce risk. Emphasis is placed on awareness, proper behavior, and age-appropriate safety messages.

Part 2: Safe Storage and Responsible Ownership

The second part focuses on practical strategies for keeping firearms secure and preventing unauthorized access. Topics include safe storage solutions, household risk prevention, and responsible ownership practices. Participants also explore real-world scenarios and learn how to respond safely if encountering an unsecured firearm. We will explore the hard questions and discussions. There is no “one‑size‑fits‑all” answers. Instead, we help families set expectations, build trust, and create a culture of safety.
